The Arvind Eye Hospital at Madurai in collaboration with Rotary International runs an eye bank. You can check out their site for more information and since it is a not for profit organization, your donations are exempt from taxation as per section 80G.
If you cannot make a donation of any sort at least it is worth visiting their site and passing the information. Personally, I can vouch for the systematic treatment process at Arvind Eye Hospital, Madurai. A classic example for medical care that can still be provided at a Socialist (read: nominal) rate at an institution that can still practice some ethics. Arvind Eye Hospital does credible work (internationally acclaimed) and they have a renowned Post Graduate Institute of Ophthalmology.
