The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has decided to outsource some of its Jury jobs to developing nations. This decision was made after the stupendous success of Slumdog Millionaire at the 81st Academy Awards Ceremony.
When asked about the selection method to be implemented, an anonymous source from the Oscar Committee told us that they are working on the basis of infinite monkey theorem and would allow random selection of pictures. Based on a trial run, the selection of pictures will be scrutinized and in subsequent runs the random selection process will be improved by adding more Monkeys Humans.
When asked about “why such a move?”, the anonymous source commented that this is meant as a trial run and will address the recent criticism on the merit of selection (quite honestly, our reporter couldn’t comprehend the statement).
We then checked with our veteran Perumal Kovil beggar, “white rice” Ramasamy. Here is an excerpt of our conversation with him.

Ramasamy: அதுக்கு இப்போ நான் என்ன செய்யனும்?
Me: நீங்க ஒன்னும் செய்ய வேண்டாம். இத பத்தி உங்க கருத்து என்ன?
Ramasamy: கருத்தா? வந்துடானுங்கய்யா…
Me: உங்க தேர்ந்தெடுப்பு என்னவா இருக்கும்?
Ramasamy:ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவன், குலே பகாவலி, அன்பே வா, பல்லாண்டு வாழ்க… இது போதுமா?
Me: அட, இப்போ வந்த படமா சொல்லுங்க…
Ramasamy: நம்ம T.R., பேரரசு, S.A. சந்திரசேகர், ஹரி…இவுங்க படமெல்லாம் பிடிக்கும்
Me: (thinking) பேரரசு victory speech கொடுத்த எப்படி இருக்கும்?
