Scribble of the day - 27

“All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrows
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you, cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it’s a very very
Mad world, mad world”

– “Mad World”, Tears for Fears

It is shocking to know that a punkass leech like Raj Thackeray of MNS gets an upgraded security cover to Z-category while residents of Kandhamal are left to defend themselves from the aggression of fundamentalist Hindus. Where is the country headed?

At one end, a right-wing {so-called} leader incites shameless regionalism and on the other end fundamentalists raid minorities in the name of Nationalism. What the fuck?

A disturbed software engineer can be sent to Jail for sending death threats to the President of India while a right-wing leader can be let out on bail in spite of inciting hatred and violence through his speech. Is there any regard for Judiciary or a respect for the fundamental values of Democracy?

I feel ashamed for the actions of my Politicians. It is because, we, the people, elect them.
