Usually, i find it hard to overcome situations in real life when my emotion overrides the ability to reason. A typical example is the selection of a life partner. You know as a being, you are attracted towards, say, “n” number of individuals. Be it for whatever biological or chemical reasons. In the process one narrows down to an individual that s/he believes would be the ideal life partner. The process is a combination of emotion and reasoning. Ironically, this combo is mutually exclusive. When present, each tries to override the other.
You normally wouldn’t want to refer a book that teaches you the art of making love. I would treat that as an institutionalized approach. Don’t we know that such a thing goes by pure instinct? Do we need someone to tell you how to handle such a thing?
I am growing old (in relative sense) and getting grumpy. Probably, I am succumbing to the social pressure of starting a family. There is always the question of fading lines between individual freedom and social responsibility. By and large, human beings are in search of a companion. To share intellectual thoughts, works of fine art, literature and importantly continue the family tree.
In scientific terms, i am taking the approach of Infinite Monkey Theorem until i end up with a work of nature that compl(i|e)ments my nature. I guess, the whole process appears like a thought experiment to me. Now you know why Programmers take a complicated approach to a simple solution.
