Stumbled across the Save American College Campaign site that has been put up by an anonymous student group claiming to hail from Thoothukudi. I had actually heard through word-of-mouth about the Student strike at American College, in support of their Principal; sometime back in August 2008. Even I had personally witnessed peaceful protests by student from the College main gate at Goripalayam.
If their claim is verifiable, I suppose the person who is indirectly involved in such a dirty scandal is standing for Madurai Lok Sabha seat.
God save Democracy! If elected, I won’t be surprised if there will be a Nazi styled Zeitgeist in the Temple City. Only difference, our அல்லக்கைஸ் (read: mercenaries a.k.a trusted lieutenants) will hold aloft the உதய சூரியன் (raising sun) flag instead of the Nazi Swastika. God knows what…the Photoshop Wunderkids can even usurp Hitler out of his dictatorial attire and replace him with our unofficial King.
